The Mexia Blackcats are hungry for a chance to get back to the playoffs.
After finishing plays away from earning a third round playoff slot last year, the Blackcats have a plan in place: be quick to the ball and be physical.
They want take the game to their opponent week in and week out. But in order to do that, the fast-paced physicality will have to stay consistent the entire game.
"If we'll play for four quarters a little bit of disciplined football, we're gonna make it hard for people to beat us," Head Coach Frank Sandoval said. "We're gonna play with energy and swagger, that's who we are, that's part of our defense."
The Blackcats will be the home team in a match up against Cameron Yoe on Aug. 31, but the game will be played in Alvarado.
