For the last few years, the Robinson Rockets have soared offensively, but defense has been a struggle.
But this year, the top athletes are on that side of the ball... and they say things are about to change.
They're ready to come after people and are looking for every chance to be physical. But, it's important the Rockets stay healthy.
Injuries early on hurt the Rockets last year. And after finishing 2-8 on the season, they have a new mindset when it comes to overcoming adversity.
"You're gonna deal with adversity. We dealt with a lot of it last year, and the one thing we learned is you have to overcome it. So, we got a new focus to work as hard as we can, to have a great attitude, to be as positive as we can and just trust that good things are gonna happen," Robinson Head Coach Tommy Allison said.
"People don't really expect us just to go out and like ball out. But, this year, we're gonna prove them wrong," Jordan Rogers, Robinson junior quarterback, said. "And if we stay healthy, we got a good chance to be really good."
Robinson will be ready to show off their physicality in their season opener against Taylor on Aug. 31.
