To kick off its preseason schedule, Baylor volleyball will face Denver in an exhibition match on Friday at 8 p.m. CT at Hamilton Gym in Denver.
Coming off a compacted fall practice schedule, the squad will stay in Denver for three days and also practice at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs until Saturday.
The Bears are coming off a 2017 season that ended in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. In head coach Ryan McGuyre’s third season at the helm, BU posted a 24-7 overall record and a program-best 13-3 mark in Big 12 play.
The Pioneers finished with an overall record of 23-6, including 12-2 in The Summit League, in 2017. Denver earned its fourth consecutive Summit League Tournament title and advanced to the NCAA Tournament First Round.
BU will then come back to Waco to host its annual Green & Gold Scrimmage on Tuesday, Aug. 21st at 5 p.m. CT. The event is free and open to the public as the Bears will split off into two teams for their final preseason tune-up.
