Little River Academy went 3-7 last season, but with newly minted head coach Paul Williams, they're looking to turn a corner.
Williams was the defensive coordinator before taking over the head chair and the first things he did were: install a new strength program, institute 7-on-7 practices, and preach confidence to this team.
"I want them to overlook us. I want them to take us for granted. Our kids know and I know that we will be better than we were last year."
According to quarterback Rian White, it's working so far.
"We got a lot of new coaches, a new head coach, offense and defense. It's a lot more exciting, more fun. I think there's more spirit about us."
Academy's opener is Aug 30 against Rodgers at UMHB.
