It's year two for the Valley Mills Eagles under Head Coach Sam Moody.
After finishing the 2017 season with not a single win, the Eagles are putting in a new offensive system.
The boys are studying on and off the field in order to be ready for the first snap and are using last year's 0-10 season as their fuel and motivation for the upcoming season.
"This program last year, we put in a lot of work and record might not have shown it, but we grew. We grew as a team, and this year the guys are really buying in and ready to get after it and turn a corner," Eagles Head Coach Sam Moody said.
The Eagles senior quarterback said change will come with time.
"Rome wasn't built in a day. So, you just have to go to work everyday and work hard, give it your all and just actually let them have a chance, like let them have a chance to coach you. Don't get down on yourself. You gotta give them a chance to turn the program around," Chase Keeton, Eagles senior quarterback, said.
The Eagles will get the ball rolling this season with a road game against Clifton on the 31st.
