Riesel's youth led the Indians to a 6-6 season, but head coach Robert Little returns eight starters on offense and seven on defense.

Realignment took powerhouse Mart out of the district, but added a tough Bruceville-Eddy team.

Veteran quarterback Steven Searcy is running the show and coach little says a experienced offensive line and defensive front seven will lead the way for his Indians.

Games are won in the trenches and with that being Riesel's strength, players believe this is the year the team makes a leap.

"The older guys that we got, I feel like they've... they're stepping up. They're taking some responsibility and showing some of the younger kids what we want to get accomplished," said Little, " So I definitely I feel like it's changed. Always room for improvement and you know as long as we can try to do that everyday we're doing what we need to do as coaches."

Riesel will get a chance to show off their veteran line August 31st against Thrall.
