The Baylor women’s basketball team shot 54.1 percent from the field and four Lady Bears post players scored in double figures on the way to a 101-59 exhibition win over the Bosnia/Herzegovina national team Monday at the Stella Azzurra Sport Center.

Freshman Caitlin Bickle led a balanced scoring attack with 20 points and the forward showed range with three 3-point field goals. Lauren Cox collected a double-double with 16 points and 14 boards while Kalani Brown added 15 and seven, respectively. Freshman Queen Egbo scored 16 points and grabbed six rebounds off the bench in her first action since joining the program.

Baylor limited Bosnia to just two first-quarter field goals and led 27-11 after the first frame. While the second quarter was more competitive, the Lady Bears carried a 46-27 lead into halftime. Then, BU went on an offensive tear beginning the third quarter with a 12-4 run before finishing the half by hitting 22 of 36 shots from the field (.611).

Ball movement played a positive role for the Lady Bears as the team assisted on 29 of 40 field goals, led by Alexis Morris’ eight. All active players scored for Baylor, and guard Juicy Landrum also reached double digits with 12 points.

The Lady Bears resume action Wednesday in Florence, Italy against TK Hannover at 6:30 p.m. ECT (11:30 a.m. CDT).
