Coach Zach Seifert's Vanguard Vikings finished last year with an 8-3 record and an early exit from the playoffs.
Now -- they're returning four players on offense and three on defense, not to mention most of them are seniors.
Seifert says injuries decimated his team, so they've found a way to mix things up and the players are buying in.
"We've been kind of ground and pound the last few years and now we're going to try and spread it out and make people guard us on the outside.
change is a horrible word for people, but whenever you have the personnel to do it you have to play with what you have and we just have the talent to do that this year," said the coach.
"We're going for the little RPO action and we'll see that's a different way to take it for a six man team. I know all you 11 man teams out there it's something you deal with a lot but 6-man I'll tell you what," added quarterback Luke Wilson.
Your first chance to see the new look Vanguard offense will be August 31st at Live Oak.
