Head coach Paul Ryans team went 9 and three last season, but after graduating his top playmakers out wide the Cougars are looking for answers.
All that can be mitigated with a quarterback like senior Ben Brittain and a stout offensive line with Noah Plsek and Jackson Byer.
"Being a leader comes along with playing a quarterback but having younger guys just makes it even bigger. Teaching them the offense, hanging out with them just making them gel together as a group," said Brittain.
Ryan says knows his strength is up front, while Brittain says he has to do even more than his 3,300 yards passing last season.
"Leaning on the offensive line definitely helps out the skill guys. If there's a hole there anyone can run through it, so that's what we're focused on right now.
Having that mentality up front to where we can make plays and having our athletes grow into the playmaker role," said coach Ryan.
Expect Reicher to rely on the run early and use play action passing until their young receivers get up to speed. Their first game is at Kerens August 31st.
