Some young baseball teams are here in Waco looking to earn a trip to the World Series!
The Little League World Series Baseball Regional tournament kicks off Thursday morning but the opening ceremony was Wednesday night!
A lot of excited fans and competitive athletes were out at the suspension bridge celebrating the baseball players and coaches for making it this far in the post season.
The semi-final games of the double elimination tournament will be nationally televised on ESPN2 and the championship game on August 8th will appear live on ESPN.
Tournament organizers say they couldn't be more fired up and ready for the first pitch.
"They're ready to get out there on the field. Our fields are beautiful and are ready for them to come out and play. So we hope that they have a great time and hope that their parents and support systems have a great time and we hope the spectators that are able to join us come out and enjoy some really wonderful baseball in the backyard," Angela Garcia with Little League Baseball said.
