UMHB's Tevin Jones has been named a D3Football.com Preseason All American. He was the only defensive player from the ASC to earn a spot.
The senior linebacker was a First Team pick.
Jones led UMHB with 129 tackles last season earning him a First Team All-South Region selection. He was named a Third Team All-American.
He received First Team American Southwest Conference All-Conference honors as well.
The linebacker also tallied 13.5 tackles for a loss, 4 sacks and 5 pass break-ups.
With such impressive stats, his team voted him team captain.
Lindy's Magazine, Street and Smith Magazine and the College Football Yearbook also granted Jones First Team Preseason All-America honors.
