Temple baseball was without a coach for one day before administrators hired Dallas Robertson.
Robertson, a Killeen native, has served as head coach for Athens High School for the last six seasons. Over that span, he has captured five district titles and won more than 100 games for the Hornets.
Temple's job came open when Toby Rumfield accepted the same position for Denton High.
Robertson said while he enjoyed his time in Athens, the chance to get closer home was too much to pass up.
