The Texas Department of Public Safety identified the driver killed in a one-vehicle crash that happened Tuesday night in West.
DPS said 22-year-old Calvin Kilgo died after crashing into a tree near FM 1858 and Old Tokio Road.
Officials say that a car was traveling westbound at an "unsafe speed" and left the roadway, crashing into the tree. Kilgo was airlifted to Scott & White where he was pronounced dead.
No charges have been filed, and no other details were released.
