The man killed in an 18-wheeler crash Tuesday has been identified.
According to Falls County officials, around 4:30 p.m. the crash happened over the Highway 7 bridge near the Brazos River.
DPS said that the semi-truck suffered a tire blowout, causing the truck to leave the roadway and hit a tree. The driver was identified as 57-year-old Troy Farris, from Belton.
As crews were working to remove the 18-wheeler, it caught on fire. The road was not cleared until 9:45 p.m.
