Former Baylor head coach Art Briles will become the next head football coach of an American football team in Italy, the team announced on Twitter.
The announcement comes one year after Briles was turned away from a Canadian football team.

In July, Guelfi Firenze American Football club confirmed it is negotiating a deal with Briles to become their next head football coach.
The Italian team is not the first organization to inquire about Briles. Texas Tech contacted Baylor about possibly signing Briles as an assistant. Waco High School confirmed they discussed their head coaching job with Briles, but said he never applied for the position.
Briles has not coached since Baylor's win in the Athletic Bowl back in 2015.
