The Hippodrome theatre hopes to attract more moviegoers as well as those looking for a good place to hang out.

Guests can now relax to the latest box office flick in one of it's three new movie theatres.

The 79 seat theatres are named after past movie houses in Waco.

The Strand, The Imperial and The Orpheum theatres are all equipped with luxury reclining chairs with retractable table tops.

Unlike any movie theatre in Waco, the Hippodrome accommodates patrons with seated push button food and beverage service, allowing them to never miss a moment on the screen.

"Having the three new theatres is really opening up the main event space. The orchestra, the old historic part of the theatre for more live music and live entertainment," said Hippodrome owner Casey Turner.

Adding more entertainment value to the 105-year-old theatre is the full-service restaurant Raleigh, which gained its name from the historic Waco hotel that was once adjacent to the movie theatre.

The Raleigh diner has daily lunch specials, and for pet lovers, provides a pet-friendly patio area.

Level three of the iconic Waco theatre is known as the High Top, a rooftop patio bar that provides an elevated view of downtown's Austin Avenue.

This area provides the ambiance for patrons to have a drink while enjoying the top 40 hits.

The newly renovated Hippodrome provides a variety of entertainment for the entire family.
