Woman pronounced dead after fatal two-vehicle crash

A woman was pronounced dead after a two-vehicle crash in Temple on Monday.

According to the Department of Public Safety, troopers responded to the scene at approximately 6:37 p.m. on State Highway 36. An investigation determined the driver of a Saturn Ion entered the roadway from the parking lot of Dollar General and was struck by a Ford Fusion.

The driver of the Saturn, 93-year-old Mozelle McDonald, was transported to Baylor Scott & White in Temple where she was pronounced dead.

The driver of the Ford was also transported to Baylor Scott & White with unknown injuries, according to DPS.

No charges have been filed as a result of the investigation.
