One Central Texas veteran was in awe on Tuesday after receiving a new car.

Caliber Collision and USAA partnered with the National Auto Body Council's Recycled Rides program to put Army National Guard Veteran Tiffany Frenchwood behind the wheel of a 2015 Mazda CX-5.

After food and a brief ceremony that included a speech from U-S Congressman John Carter, Frenchwood was given the keys to her new ride.

Frenchwood said the car opens new doors and gives her the ability to do the things she has been missing out on for a long time.

Soldiers Angels, a nonprofit organization, provides much-needed support for active duty soldiers and veterans. They nominated Frenchwood for the Recycled Rides vehicle.
