Award-winning journalist Lindsay Liepman will join KXXV Central Texas News Now as anchor of the weeknight newscasts at 6 and 10 P.M on Monday, July 9.
Liepman, a native of Mexia, Texas, was most recently an anchor/reporter at KEYE-TV, the CBS affiliate in Austin. It was at KEYE where she launched “Forever Families,” a segment devoted to adoption in Central Texas.
“Lindsay is a perfect fit for Central Texas News Now and we’re excited about her coming home,” said Eric Duncan, KXXV’s Vice President and General Manager.
“I have tremendous respect for the work she’s done over the course of her career and I know that Lindsay will further our commitment to telling local, relevant stories here in Central Texas.”
Lindsay is an Emmy award-winning journalist who’s worked in communities across the country after graduating Texas A&M University.
She began her broadcast career in Bryan/College Station and went on to work in Maine, Massachusetts, and Florida. She’s filed reports in blizzards, hurricanes and has covered historic moments like the final NASA shuttle launch and George H.W. Bush’s skydive for his 80th birthday and again when he turned 90. Lindsay is also an Edward R. Murrow Award recipient for Hard News.
