Two people are dead after a car accident on I-35 near Elm Mott on Monday.
According to the Department of Public Safety, this was a single vehicle crash. The driver saw a tire thread in the middle of the road and tried to swerve out of the way and lost control. The vehicle then overturned.
There were six people in the vehicle. Two were wearing seatbelts, four were ejected and two died in the accident, according to DPS.
The four who were ejected from the vehicle were transported to a local hospital and are in critical condition.
