The man struck by a car on Interstate 35 on Saturday has died.
The Texas Department of Public Safety said it happened just before 5 a.m. Saturday.
It happened on Interstate 35 near mile marker 316 going northbound.
The deceased has been identified as 33-year-old James Strahan of Lorena.
TxDOT said the scene was cleared just after 9 a.m.
The main lanes were shut down and are now back open.
The driver of the car was not injured.
