Copperas Cove may be getting a make-over in the near future.
On Monday, the Copperas Cove City Council held a special workshop meeting to discuss plans to redesign Business 190, between Avenue D. and Constitution Drive.
The city has partnered with TxDOT on a $10-million design that would cut the just over 1 mile stretch of road from six lanes down to four. The plans also include the addition of sidewalks and a median to help control traffic.
The city says they are considering the project with safety as their main concern.
The project is still in the design phase and the city doesn't know, when or even if, they will begin construction.
