A person is dead after an accident involving a Milam County Sheriff's Deputy.
Cameron Fire Chief Henry Horelica said that it happened Wednesday around 9:40 p.m. at the intersection of 4th Street and Orchard.
Horelica said that a pick-up truck was crossing 4th Street when it was hit by a deputy's SUV.
The driver of the pick-up truck, identified as Earnest Taylor, 70, died at the scene.
The deputy and passenger of the pick-up truck, identified as Shirley Taylor, 75, were taken to the hospital.
