McLennan Community College head softball coach Manuel Ordones has resigned amid an investigation by the school.
Ordones officially resigned on May 2. The investigation is still ongoing, but school leaders will not comment on the matter any further.
In April, Ordones was placed on administrative leave.
Ordones has been head coach of the Highlassies for 15 seasons, racking up two conference titles, four regional championships, and four national championship appearances.
Before taking the softball position, Ordones was head coach at Waco Connally for 18 years and an assistant on the MCC baseball staff for two.
The Highlassies begin the regional tournament Friday in McKinney.
