Texas Department of Transportation will be closing the westbound access from S. Loop 363 to Spur 290 / First Street in Temple temporarily.
The closure will last from April 25 at 9 a.m. to April 26.
During the closure, TxDOT will be placing the final asphalt surface on the newly constructed westbound frontage road to LP 363 and the First Street intersection.
Westbound drivers will be detoured through FM 1741 to Avenue R for access to First Street. Eastbound drivers will use the current Fifth Street detour to First Street.
This multi-phase project which began in October 2016 is expected to be completed late spring 2018.
