Highlanders finish in fifth place at NJCAA District 2 Championship
The McLennan Highlanders shot 288-305-305 – 898 to finish in fifth place at the NJCAA District 2 Championship at the par-72, 7,349-yard The Rawls Course in Lubbock.
Odessa finished in first place with 290-284-296 – 870, followed by Midland in second with 286-294-296 – 876 and Western Texas in third with 293-298-295 – 886.
Matt Lorentzen shot 74-72-26 – 222 to lead the Highlanders and finish tied for 10th place individually. Florian Moosneier of Odessa claimed the individual title with 67-71-74 – 212.
