Waco fire department battles large grass fire
The Waco Fire Department responded to a large grass fire on Steinbeck Bend Drive on Tuesday.
The fire started from a hay baler and spread to at least 90 bales of hay.
Three brush trucks and three engines were called out to control the fire. As of 12:30 p.m., the fire was still burning, but the fire department said they are leaving crews there to monitor and let the fire burn out.
The Waco fire department said they were able to stop the fire before more it reached the house.
There were no injuries or structural damage from the fire. The baler was destroyed.
