Baylor Scott & White announced a name change for the Temple hospital at their five-year celebration.
McLane Children’s Hospital, located in Temple, is now Baylor Scott & White McLane Children’s Medical Center.
The event on October 8 included cake, games, and information about health, local vendors, and a presentation by Baylor S & W officials. The hospital also unveiled the new signage of the hospital building.
“We have been proud to serve children of all ages in Central Texas and beyond for five years and counting,” said President and Chief Medical Officer for the hospital John L. Boyd III. “With our new name, we continue our commitment to providing quality health services and to expanding them throughout Texas for children in need of specialty care.”
Baylor Scott & White McLane Children’s Medical Center is the only children’s hospital between Dallas and Austin with a pediatric trauma center and has opened clinics in Round Rock, College Station, Temple, Waco, and Killeen.
