Bliss Bridal Bash aims to raise $5000 for breast cancer research
Hundreds of people attended the 4th annual Bridal Bliss Bash in Waco.
Photo booths, lounges, wedding design stations, and music were all a big part of the bash. More than 75 vendors showed off what they have to offer to couples planning to walk down the aisle.
Angela Sims is the founder and owner of Bliss Bridal Magazine and for her the bash is so much more than just a good time.
Sims started hosting the party four years ago to help raise money for breast cancer research after her grandmother was diagnosed with the disease.
”I wanted a way that I could raise money for breast cancer research as well as give brides an inspirational event,” Sims said. “Part of all of our proceeds go to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.”
People who attended the bash could enter a raffle for the chance to win prizes as big as $1000 off of a wedding dress. But those people also happen to be contributing to valuable research.
“All of the raffle money, that’s what goes to the research,” said Sims.
Sims said her grandmother is now in remission, and has attended every Bliss Bridal Bash since she started throwing the party.
The next bash will be in Temple and is scheduled for January 8, 2017.
