Slideshow: Copperas Cove students headed to national technology competition

Eight Copperas Cove High School students are headed to the national contest after sweeping the Texas Technology Student Association held in Waco.
Copperas Cove High School senior and president of the TSA student club, Mia Branch, is in her second year of technology classes with participation in the after-school organization.
“The competition is very challenging,” Branch said. “Last year, I didn’t place and I’m really excited that I did this year. It was great being able to look at everybody’s artwork and networking with others interested in technology.”
The classes and club are run under the supervision and guidance of two CCHS teachers, Marvin Johnson in Woodshop and Lan Carter with Technology Applications. Both teachers said they were delighted with the results of the state competition and look forward to the national contest.
Copperas Cove High School Students in the Career Technology Department competed in the Technology Student Association State Competition in Waco on April 14-15.
