The city of Robinson is helping West with recovery efforts any way they can. Robinson is accepting donations at City Hall, and is also lending the Public Works Department for smoke testing and other assistance.
They have already received many donations including clothing, toiletries, canned goods and gift cards, but at this time they will only be accepting canned goods and gift cards. Donations can be taken to City Hall or the Robinson Police Department.
The city of Robinson Public Works Department recently smoke tested the sewer lines in West to check for broken pipes and leaks in residents' yards. They also checked to see if any manholes were destroyed.
Public Works Director Randy Seat said, "The department was happy to help in any way. For the amount of destruction I've seen, I couldn't believe none of the lines were broken."
