The bodies of the fallen firefighters in west are still being honored as they are taken back from Waco to west.
There are still multiple processions this week to bring the fallen back home. Starting at 8 a.m. from Waco, West fire engines, support trucks, family cars and motorcycles will go on I-35 to the Main street exit in West.
Fire fighters ask people to go out and show their support as the procession drives by.
"It means a lot to the firefighters family to see the support from neighboring communities and our own community just because they gave the final, ultimate sacrifice trying to save others," Lacy-Lakeview Mike Anderson said.
Anderson says there have been less people coming out as the days go by. He says while he understands that people want to get the tragedy out of their minds, it's still important to come out.
"In a lot of our eyes that's unfair for each firefighter to not receive the same treatment or the same level of respect," Anderson said.
Anderson says you can pay your respects by standing in a safe place off the interstate, like the overpass near Baylor.
You can also come out to west as the procession goes to the funeral home.
Procession will start at 8 a.m. Monday, Tuesday and either Wednesday or Thursday.
