WACO, Texas — We have now completed our eighth week of high school football, and it is time to vote for our Week Eight Primetime Performer! Make sure to cast your vote here!

In no particular order:

-Jay'Veon Sunday (RB, Connally): Our first nominee ran away with things in our Red Zone Game of the Week. Sunday put in the work Friday to lead the No. 1 Cadets to a big district win over Mexia. He carried the ball for 230 yards and four touchdowns. The Cadets are now in charge of District 8-4A II.

-Hunter Turk (FB, Salado): Our second nominee helped carry Salado to a huge district victory over Lorena. Turk put up 148 physical yards and four touchdowns against the Leopards. Turk is our first fullback nominee this year, and he pulled off a lot of physical, downhill runs to help keep his team in the playoff hunt.

-Joseph McHenry (QB, Robinson): Our final nominee came through when his team needed him most. McHenry threw for 324 yards and four touchdowns and added another two scores with his legs to lead the rockets to their first district win of the season and keep them in the hunt for a playoff spot.

Vote now! Voting closes Wednesday and the KXXV sports team will surprise the winner at their pep rally on Friday.
