WACO, TX — La Vega ISD has canceled school for Friday Dec. 20.
They said it's because they want to give everyone a chance to attend the state championship game in Arlington.
La Vega will play Carthage at 11 a.m. on Friday at AT&T Stadium. La Vega is the defending state champion.
The district said they are taking two fan buses to the football state championship game on Friday, each with a capacity of 50 passengers. This is a free bus available to the first 100 passengers who reserve their name on the list. The buses will leave at 8:00 a.m. from the north parking lot of Willie Williams Stadium.
To reserve their place on the bus, theyyou will need to call 799-7453.
