COLLEGE STATION, TX — In a Monday press conference, Texas A&M Football Head Coach Jimbo Fisher announced plans to pause practice activities for the day.
The decision came after "a couple" of positive cases of COVID-19 came back from testing that had been done on Sunday.
All activity was suspended as they begin contact tracing.
The team and staff were retested Monday to try and prevent the spread of COVID-19.
There are currently two confirmed cases with one being a student and one being a student worker.
Coach Fisher: We have paused practice activities for the day. Had a couple of positive cases after got back and tested on Sunday. Suspended activity today for safety protocols while we do our contact tracing.
