Aggie baseball drops game two at Ole Miss, 13-3

OXFORD, MS — The No. 10 Texas A&M Aggies lost a game to the No. 19 Ole Miss Rebels, 13-3, Friday evening at Oxford-University Stadium. Ole Miss clinched the series with the victory.

Lacy (6-3) was saddled with the loss despite a solid effort on the mound. He left the contest with a 2-1 lead, but his final line read 5.1 innings, allowing three runs on five hits and three walks while striking out 11.

Braden Shewmake batted 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBI. Bryce Blaum scored two runs and added a stolen base.

Texas A&M dropped to 30-14-1 overall and 11-8-1 in SEC action. Ole Miss improved to 29-15 overall and 12-8 in league play.

UP NEXT
The Aggies look to fend off the sweep Saturday when they face the Rebels in a 2:02 p.m. contest.

B6 | Johnson drew a five-pitch walk to start the inning. After Cole Zabowski struck out swinging, Johns stole second base and Michael Fitzsimmons was hit by a pitch. Chandler Jozwiak spelled Lacy on the mound and walked the only batter he faced. Bryce Miller entered the game and was greeted by a sac fly by Kevin Graham as Ole Miss tied the game. Ryan Olenek gave the Rebels the lead with a single to rightfield. An RBI single by Kessinger and three-run home run by Tyler Keenan inflated the cushion to five runs. OM 7, A&M 2.
