Despite winning the World Series in 2017, the Texas Rangers still sell more tickets in Texas than the Houston Astros.
According to data from Vividseats.com, 148 of 254 counties still claim the Texas Rangers as their team. The company looked at counties in Texas by the most tickets sold for each team per county.
However, this doesn't mean the Astros are far behind. The Houston Astros claimed 98 counties. There are some outliers - like San Saba, Cochran and Mason County root for the Boston Red Sox, and El Paso County cheers on the Los Angeles Dodgers.
As for the entire United States, the Rangers still have an edge on the 'Stros. The Rangers have 235 counties on their side, while the Astros are looking at a total of 160 counties.
