WACO, TX — In the Highlanders’ 80-52 victory over the Weatherford Coyotes in the regular-season finale, guard Xavier Armstead surpassed the 1000 point mark in his McLennan career. He scored 487 points as a freshman and has added 515 points so far this season. Armstead and the Highlanders will compete in the Region V Tournament in Abilene beginning at 1 p.m. Thursday.
