WACO, TX — The McLennan Highlassies, the only two-year program in the field of 11, shot 343-341-342 – 1,026 to finish in 10th place at the Islander Classic hosted by Texas A&M-Corpus Christi at the par-72, 6,045-yard Corpus Christi Country Club.
Houston Baptist is in first place with 290-302-300 – 892, followed by Texas A&M-Corpus Christi in second with 303-304-308 – 915 and Southern Illinois in third with 305-303-315 – 923.
Freshman Ellie Darnell shot 84-81-84 – 249 to lead the Highlassies and finish tied for 36th.
