Baylor’s Mulkey to appear on ABC’s Good Morning America Thursday

WACO, TX — Baylor head women’s basketball coach Kim Mulkey, fresh off a 2019 NCAA Division I championship title, will be a featured guest on ABC’s Good Morning America Thursday morning.

Mulkey joined the late Pat Summitt (Tennessee) and UConn’s Geno Auriemma as the only women’s basketball coaches to have three titles or more in the NCAA era when Baylor beat Notre Dame 82-81 Monday night in the championship game of the NCAA Final Four.

The Hammond, La. native completed her 19th season with the Lady Bears and has compiled a 576-99 record with 18 NCAA Tournament appearances, 14 NCAA Sweet 16’s, 10 regular season & Big 12 Tournament championships and national titles in 2005, 2012 and 2019.

Mulkey won three of the four major national Coach of the Year awards (AP, USBWA, WBCA) after leading Baylor to a 37-1 record and the nation’s longest winning streak at 29 games.

Good Morning America airs live in the eastern time zone from 7-9 a.m. Monday thru Friday and features anchors Robin Roberts and George Stephanopoulos along with co-anchors Amy Robach, Lara Spencer, and Michael Strahan.

Mulkey will be in New York Wednesday and Thursday watching Kalani Brown at the WNBA Draft 2019 presented by State Farm.
