WACO, TX — Oh My Juice has been open for 6 years in Waco, one of the first juice bar and açaí bowl businesses in the area.
"It's an exciting place to do business, Waco is a very unique environment," managing partner Denicia Blount said.
The pandemic may have slowed business but Blount quickly realized more people were wanting to eat healthily while in quarantine.
"It makes them really start thinking about their health, what can I do to boost my immune system and eating healthy is a primary way to do that," Blount said.
Oh My Juice uses all fruits and vegetables, there are no artificial ingredients of any kind. Customer Marissa Davenport had a friend turn her on to the fruit blended bowls.
"I actually had a coworker bring one to work one day, about a year ago otherwise I would have never come here and I've been hooked ever since," Davenport said.
The easiest way to describe an açaí bowl she says is, it's like a smoothie in a bowl with fresh fruit and granola on top.
"It's very convenient it's all fresh ingredients everyone is super nice when you get here and if you can't stay they put it in a nice to-go container for you," Davenport said.
Oh My Juice is following all CDC, state and local government guidelines. They want to make sure their customers are staying healthy because it's your business that is keeping them open.
"We want to be the example, our whole purpose for existing is to help people get healthy it's not about making people sick," Blount said.
Oh My Juice is open for curbside, pick-up and delivery. Their hours are 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday.
