WACO, TX — Northern & Nye Printing and Office Supplies have been in business since 1978 and since then has provided decades of quality printing and sign services for business around Waco.
As the pandemic hit and business started to close, it was a slow start to their busy season.
They realized more places will start to need signs to remind us to wear our masks and stay back 6 feet.
"Or whether it's a floor decal saying please stand 6 feet apart we also found a niche for menus paper menus," office manager, Chris Northern said.
Choosing to stay open, they also want to make sure you're staying safe when picking up an order.
Their receptionist is always wearing a mask as well as their delivery drivers.
"We're a good 30 feet across the room so they can come and pick up and smile and wave," Northern said.
Owner, Mike Nye has been with the business since he was a teenager. "Just right out of high school started with my brother and started as a delivery driver actually and came up through the ranks," Nye said.
Nye has fallen in love with the printing business but he's come to enjoy his customers even more.
"I love people love getting out and seeing our customers and visiting with them and I kind of miss that here in the last few months," Nye said.
In a time of crisis, Northern & Nye didn't want to turn their back on customers, they're looking to get through this pandemic together.
"We've had so many people tell us oh my gosh thank you so much I don't know what I would have done and that is what really motivates us," Northern said.
