Interior Glow, a family-owned business, says they've stayed afloat thanks to the community's endless support.

If you're looking to decorate your home or find something unique, Interior Glow in downtown Waco might be a fun stop.

"We have furniture pieces and jewelry and gift items and home decor," said owner Alejandra Evans.

For Evans and her husband, opening this store in 2016 was a dream come true. They focused on making sure their items would be special for local shoppers.

"If you buy something, you are either the only person who has it, or maybe one other person will have it. We try to buy unique items around the world and locally, too," said Evans.

This year, they were one of many businesses impacted by the coronavirus pandemic.

"We just had to try to make it," said Exans. "We had to let employees go and cut a lot of things. It's been hard and less people shopping, of course."

However, the community support they've seen has meant the world.

"Those are the moments when you feel blessed. I feel so grateful for customers who come in and shop locally," said Evans.

They even added a few items that go hand-in-hand with the pandemic, like unique face masks and UV lights that claim to disinfect any surface.

"These are great. We take them everywhere we go, like restaurants or stores. You press the button and sanitize any surface," Evans explained.

Although 2020 has been a challenging year, they are excited to see what 2021 has in store.

If you are interested in checking out their store, they are located at 210 S 5Th St Waco, TX 76701. They are open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
