GOLINDA, TX — The Golinda Country store has worked even harder the last few weeks, the family-owned and run crew is now thanking the community for their support.
A small store that also serves delicious lunch and dinner has been loved by the locals since 2016 and even some new customers as well.
"It's been a blessing with the community but we've gotten a lot of outsiders that have noticed us, they recognize us on social media," owner, Christie Wolff said.
Of course, turning their dine-in to a to-go only service possessed challenges but they've gotten used to it.
"We got over it, I mean it was a good challenge but we did it," owner, David Wolff said.
With many new customers brings a lot of hope for this mom and pop shop, and employee Brooke Dodd has enjoyed meeting new faces.
"Every day is a new adventure for sure we try out a lot of different foods, learn a lot, and love working with the community," Dodd said.
As a local business in an even smaller town, the crew learns to do every job.
"The side, the corner the back the front we all work it all. At first, it's challenging until you understand it then it's simple," employee, Shawna Switzer said.
Even if they have to be 6 feet apart, the Golinda Country Store has enjoyed seeing all the regulars and new faces stop by to support.
"You got locals that say hey ya know what I like going there, they're, nice they're friendly they cut up with ya and people like that," Wolff said.
The Golinda Country store is open Monday through Thursday 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday-Saturday until 9 p.m. Follow them on their Facebookpage to learn more about the goodies you can pick up next time you drive through Golinda.
