WACO, TX — Cafe Homestead is open for all your home-cooked and home-grown needs. They specialize in made-from-scratch food, and those who stop buy instantly fall in love with their meal.
Frequent customer, Daisy Contreras, loves coming for breakfast.
"We come here pretty often, usually in the morning. They have really great food, made from scratch. Perfectly great," Contreras said.
Not only does she love the food but the employees as well. With their sweet hospitality, it feels like you're right at home.
General Manager Andrew Taylor and the rest of the crew has adapted as much as they could.
They now offer family meals. You can take a whole meal home, and all you have to do is heat it up. Meals like this help with business and hopefully give the opportunity for their customers to still enjoy their food in the comfort of their own home.
"If you want a meal for tonight, a really great meal, you can pick it up, heat it up, finish it or your family," Taylor said.
The meals are a great addition, but Taylor really appreciates his crew and how they've been working during this pandemic.
"Our hats are off to them for doing that, for the safety of themselves and more importantly the safety of our customers," Taylor said.
Between sanitation stations, wearing masks and social distancing, Cafe Homestead is doing all they can to keep their doors open.
