WACO, TX — Brazos Security in Waco was deemed an essential business in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic. With that, the company has gone above and beyond to keep their employees and customers safe.

"Sanitize it when we open the box, and again as we are packaging it to go to your home. Install it and make sure we get another good wipe down," said General Manager, Jessica Gonzalez.

Wipe down after wipe down, the security company does just that to keep everyone safe when installing any system. Gonzalez says with more people staying at home and ordering more things online, families have realized the importance of having security for situations like porch pirates.

"People are realizing what extra things do we need to take care of in our home, what they can do to protect their family and belongings," she said.

With their job requiring in-person installations, Brazos Security's protocols go beyond disinfecting what they touch.

"Our salesmen and technicians have gone above and beyond making sure to wear their face mask, sanitize their hands in and out of the home, wearing booties [and] gloves to make sure we are not spreading germs to your home or picking them up," Gonzalez said.

If anyone stops by the business, employees check temperatures, require the use of a mask and provide hand sanitizer, actions that are slowly becoming normal just about anywhere.

Gonzalez says the protocols are necessary to keep everyone safe from the virus, and so they can continue serving customers across Central Texas.

Brazos Security is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
