(KXXV) — For the 21st year, it was good friends, good music and good times at Bowen MusicFest.
This year, the Bowen Family Foundation will hit the $4 million mark for donating to local charitable organizations, specifically with a mission to help children and families in Waco.
Cheap Trick, Tracy Byrd, Whiskey Myers and more were in Waco to raise money for a great cause. Bowen says he loves coming home to Waco and is grateful for his friends that help put on more than a great concert.
"What does it mean to you that your friends are out here and they support this every year?" said Central Texas News Now Anchor Lindsay Liepman.
"I couldn't do it without them. Having Tracy Byrd, Whiskey Myers, Cheap Trick and all these people it's really insane. And we put this together. I beg and beg. I start begging a week later I'll start begging for next year. So, I'm really thankful for a lot of good friends," said Wade.
"Texas Voices" was backstage to interview some of your favorite Texas artists.
