STROUD, PA — A Pennsylvania volunteer firefighter is being remembered as a hero after donating his organs in one last act of service.
Michael "Cole" Alcorn was in a car crash on the Turner Turnpike and had to be rescued by his own department- the Stroud Volunteer Fire Department.
Thursday, Cole, surrounded by family, was taken off life support.
The volunteer firefighter, in a final act of service, donated his organs.
Cole leaves behind a daughter, and was expecting a son with his girlfriend.
