CHAMBLEE, Ga. — A 1-year-old boy is back with his mom after the FBI says he was kidnapped at gunpoint while his mother was walking him Saturday in a stroller in an Atlanta area neighborhood.
An Amber alert was issued after Mateo Alejandro Montufar-Barrera was taken in Chamblee.
His mother says she was pushing him in a stroller in broad daylight when two men pulled up in an SUV.
One tried to take the child at gunpoint, but she managed to get the weapon.
She says that's when a second man jumped out of the SUV and abducted her child.
The FBI says his mother put up a fight and was able to grab a piece of a suspect’s shorts and his shoe.
Police tell WSB-TV the boy was later found unharmed, and two suspects were taken into custody.
