A dog that was missing for three years has finally been returned to his owner.

Wrangler, a 3-year-old Great Pyrenees, belongs to Ryland Brown, an U.S. Air Force Airman serving in Spokane, Washington.

The dog was found living in deplorable condition in Spring, Texas three weeks ago before a microchip identified him as the airman's missing pet.

There were 200 other animals living in deplorable conditions in Texas, but Wrangler was the only one with a microchip.

Brown says a friend gave Wrangler away after he left for basic training, and he gave up looking for his pet.

Wrangler took off from Bush Intercontinental Airport on Friday to be reunited with Brown.
